An exciting opportunity is available for a Finance Officer to join a Queensland Government team supporting Technology and Business Services. This role will assist with financial processing, budget tracking and reporting, helping ensure strong financial management across ICT.

This position suits a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a structured corporate environment and managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monitoring and tracking of ICT and accommodation budgets
  • Process payments, journals, accruals and financial transactions in line with Treasury policies
  • Assist with month-end processes, including reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare regular financial reports and ad hoc analysis for managers and senior staff
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in line with governance and audit requirements
  • Assist with supplier and contract administration, including spend tracking
  • Respond to finance-related queries and provide general business support
  • Contribute to improving finance processes and reporting practices

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in a finance or business support role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience using SAP or SAP Fiori
  • Advanced Excel skills(Power BI highly regarded)
