Full Stack Developer

6-Month Initial Contract | High Chance of Extension

We are currently looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a well-established enterprise project within the banking sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on developer who enjoys working across both back-end and front-end technologies in a collaborative, agile environment.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting modern Java-based microservices, while also contributing to UI development using React and related technologies. The role will suit someone who is technically strong, proactive, and comfortable working across the full SDLC in a SAFe delivery environment.

The role

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable Java services.

• Work across the full Software Development Life Cycle within an agile SAFe framework.

• Contribute to integration and microservices development across a large enterprise technology environment.

• Support deployments and assist in moving services from test through to production.

• Work closely with delivery teams, stakeholders, and technical peers to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Build a strong understanding of the existing technology stack and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.

Skills and experience required

• Strong commercial experience in Java development, including microservices and integration.

• Solid Core Java experience, ideally Java $8+$.

• Experience with unit testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and JMockit.

• Strong background in J2EE, EJB, Spring Framework, and Apache Camel.

• Front-end development experience with ReactJS, Redux, GraphQL, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.

• Database experience with PostgreSQL.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Rally and Confluence.

• Experience designing APIs using Swagger or OpenAPI.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and practices.

• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure.
