About the Role

We’re looking for a Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) Functional Consultant who thrives in a technofunctional space — someone who understands how the platform works, its boundaries, and how to design practical solutions that work in real enterprise environments.

This is not a development role. You won’t be writing code. Instead, you’ll focus on translating business needs into well-structured Dynamics 365 CE solutions, making smart decisions about configuration, usability, scalability, and long-term platform health.

You will act as a key link between business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and delivery squads to ensure Dynamics 365 CE is implemented and evolved in a consistent, governed, and value-driven way.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will own the functional lifecycle of Dynamics 365 CE changes — from early discovery through to delivery and ongoing improvement.

You will:

• Work closely with business teams to understand current processes, challenges, and desired outcomes
• Shape future-state processes and customer journeys using Dynamics 365 CE capabilities
• Turn business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and process flows
• Make practical decisions on when to use out-of-the-box functionality versus configuration trade-offs
• Maintain and refine a prioritised backlog in collaboration with Product Owners
• Ensure solutions are delivered through strong configuration of Dynamics 365 CE (model-driven apps, Dataverse, forms, views, business rules, workflows, queues, SLAs, routing, and case management)
• Design and support security and access models aligned with governance and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with architects and developers on integration touchpoints, data flows, and validation rules
• Support testing activities including functional testing and UAT coordination
• Ensure releases are well-prepared, documented, and ready for production environments
• Contribute to deployment practices, environment management, and release governance
• Support adoption through training input, documentation, and knowledge sharing
• Provide functional support and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

About You

You are someone who combines strong business analysis skills with deep Dynamics 365 CE knowledge, and you’re comfortable working in complex enterprise environments.

You will bring:

• Hands-on experience as a Functional Consultant working with Dynamics 365 CE / CRM
• Strong understanding of Dataverse and model-driven application design
• Confidence working with platform configuration rather than custom code
• Knowledge of security design (roles, teams, business units, access control)
• Experience working with solution lifecycle management (ALM), environments, and deployment processes
• Ability to run workshops, gather requirements, and convert them into structured deliverables
• Strong testing and UAT experience
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• A practical mindset — balancing business needs with platform constraints and long-term maintainability

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments
• Exposure to Power Platform and integration patterns
• Familiarity with service management / ITIL processes
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-200, MB-230, MB-210 (or similar)
