Role: Parks GIS Officer
Rate: $42.96 p/hr + Super (PAYG) or $47.69 p/hr + GST.
Length: Monday 20/01/2026 – Thurs 30/04/2026
Location: Southern suburbs of Brisbane
Key Briefing Notes:
- Create, manipulate and manage spatial asset databases, applications and mapping layers for parks maintenance sites, within Geographical Information system (GIS)
- Develop and collate accurate GIS maps, maintenance schedules and other documentation necessary for tender processes
- Lead and undertake geographical information system (GIS) projects within parks branch to ensure they provide efficient and effective spatial information products and services to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Participate in the contract tendering and administration process, as required. timely & up-To-Date maintenance of GIS data
- Stakeholder engagement - work closely with internal and external stakeholders, communicate technical advice and provide GIS and mapping support/Assistance to all programs within the parks branch.
- Present to customers professionally and conduct dealings to promote the parks branch as a responsive, efficient and client focused team.
