- Google Cyber Security Architect
Key Responsibilities
- Define and influence cyber security architectures tailored for GCP.
- Design, guide and assure landing zones, security controls, patterns and guardrails.
- Lead cyber security risk assessments across the GCP environment.
- Oversee the implementation of Zero Trust Architecture.
- Review, validate and provide assurance of GCP solution designs.
Essential Experience
- Proven background as a Security Architect or Senior Security Engineer working extensively with GCP.
- Strong technical proficiency across:
- Google Cloud IAM
- Security Command Center
- Cloud Monitoring & Logging
- VPC networking (subnets, Cloud NAT, routing)
- Secret Manager
- Endpoint, container and workload security
- Zero Trust design principles
- Solid understanding of security frameworks such as ISM, Essential Eight, and NIST CSF.
- Ability to provide clear, risk-based security guidance to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications (Required/Desirable)
- Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer (highly regarded)
- SABSA, TOGAF or CISSP certifications (desirable)
2. Google Cloud Engineer
About the role:
We are looking for Google Cloud Engineer to contribute to the design, build and operation of a new Google Cloud Platform hosting environment .
Key Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a GCP Engineer or Architect, including:
- Design & Planning (GCP Well-Architected Framework)
- Designing scalable, resilient, highly available cloud architectures on GCP.
- Applying best practices for security, compliance and cost optimisation.
- Experience with security frameworks desirable (or ISM, PSPF, Essential 8).
- GCP Implementation
- Deploying solutions using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Terraform, Config Connector, ACM, FabricFast
- GKE and container platforms
- Cloud Run, AppEngine and other serverless services
- Cloud Storage, Filestore, NetApp Volumes
- Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Firestore, Spanner, Bigtable, Managed Kafka
- Pub/Sub and event-driven architectures
- GCP networking (VPCs, Cloud NAT, load balancing, interconnects, egress/ingress policies)
- NGFW experience (Palo Alto) desirable
- Cloud APIs and tagging frameworks
- GCP Operations & Management
- Cost governance: budgets, billing reports, recommender insights.
- Security posture management via IAM, Org Policy Service and SCC.
- Backup/recovery using Backup & DR services and lifecycle policies.
- Monitoring and alerting with Cloud Monitoring, Logging, Error Reporting, Dynatrace or Splunk.
Essential Experience
- Experience working with public cloud platforms or significant on-premises enterprise solutions.
Qualifications (Required/Desirable)
- Associate Cloud Engineer – required
- Professional Cloud Architect – desirable
