GRC Consultant – Initial 6M Contract (Mining)

Our client, a global mining leader, is seeking an experienced GRC Consultant to establish core governance, risk, and compliance capabilities through their foundational maturity phase. This hands-on, fixed-term role offers a unique opportunity to shape and build critical processes from the ground up—ideal for a pragmatic, adaptable professional eager to drive capability uplift in an evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and embed core GRC frameworks focused on vulnerability management, control design, and control testing
- Own the planning and execution of annual cyber audits and penetration testing to validate risk controls and identify improvement areas
- Collaborate effectively across business units, translating complex risk and compliance requirements into practical, actionable processes
- Drive progress in a fast-evolving environment, establishing internal benchmarks in a non-regulated industry with significant autonomy
Who You Are:
- Demonstrated success in establishing or significantly advancing GRC capabilities within organizations at early maturity stages
- Agile and resourceful, comfortable leading through uncertainty and shaping frameworks where no precedent exists
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of risk awareness
