About the Role

As our HR Functional Consultant, you will be at the forefront of enterprise HR system optimisation. You will own end-to-end SAP HR module delivery, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to enhance HR processes and support major transformation programmes. Your expertise will guide system integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that our HR platforms meet legislative and organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP HR modules such as Personnel Administration, Organisational Management, Time Management, and Payroll, with Australian payroll experience highly regarded
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications and system configurations
  • Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices, process optimisation, and system integration across HR, payroll, finance, and other enterprise functions
  • Develop comprehensive documentation including configuration guides, process maps, and solutions design documents
  • Support testing activities with test scenario development, defect management, and process validation
  • Offer functional support during system cutover, deployment, and post-go-live stages
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagements, and user training sessions
  • Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, interface development, and reporting solutions

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an SAP HR Functional Consultant within large and complex environments
  • Strong understanding of SAP HR modules, including Personnel Administration, Organisational Management, Time Management, and Payroll
  • Demonstrated ability to design and configure SAP HR solutions aligned with business needs and legislative requirements
  • Experience managing full lifecycle ERP implementations or major upgrades
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or hybrid SAP HR landscapes
  • Knowledge of government HR frameworks or experience in large public sector projects
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and modern change management practices
