ICT PORTFOLIO DELIVERY MANAGER
I am currently seeking multiple Portfolio Delivery Managers within a large and complex enterprise ICT environment based in Brisbane, QLD.
These positions sit within an established delivery function and are responsible for leading the successful delivery of a portfolio of concurrent technology projects. This is a hands on delivery leadership role, not a transformation, strategy or PMO establishment position.
THE ROLE:
As a Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing a portfolio of ICT projects from concept approval through to closure. You will directly manage Project Managers and delivery resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget.
- Leading a portfolio of concurrent ICT projects across applications and digital platforms
- Line managing Project Managers, coordinators and solution specialists
- Managing portfolio budgets, forecasting and financial reporting
- Overseeing governance, assurance, RAID and status reporting
- Allocating delivery capacity and managing interdependencies
- Engaging senior stakeholders, business owners and vendors
- Supporting estimation, funding submissions and investment planning
- Coaching and mentoring Project Managers to drive performance
- Projects may include customer digital services, enterprise applications, data and dashboard initiatives, AI uplift and internal digital capability programs.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
We are seeking experienced delivery leaders who can demonstrate:
- 10+ years experience in complex ICT environments
- Proven leadership of multiple concurrent ICT projects at portfolio or senior program level
- Direct management of Project Managers and multi disciplinary delivery teams
- Strong financial management, budgeting and forecasting capability
- Experience managing Tier 1 or Tier 2 vendors
- Ability to manage dependencies across platforms and portfolios
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and executive levels
- Solid grounding in recognised project or program methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, MSP or SAFe
NOT LOOKING FOR:
This role is not suited to:
- PMO establishment specialists
- Transformation or strategy consultants
- Governance or assurance only backgrounds
- Candidates focused primarily on operating model redesign
- We are looking for hands on delivery leaders who run portfolios and drive outcomes
