ICT Support Engineer (NV1 Required)
We are seeking an experienced ICT Support Engineer
to join a programme focused on delivering and sustaining complex, secure ICT services.
This role goes beyond traditional support, with a strong focus on improving service reliability, feeding operational insight into engineering, and enabling smooth transition into service.
The Role
You will provide technical support across a range of ICT platforms while contributing to improving how services are designed, transitioned, and supported.
You will work closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure systems are:
- supportable in live environments
- aligned to user needs
- continuously improved based on operational feedback
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support across end user, infrastructure, gateway, and application environments
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve incidents and prevent recurrence
- Capture and document workarounds, knowledge articles, and support procedures
- Translate operational issues and user requirements into actionable inputs for engineering teams
- Support service transition activities, ensuring systems are ready for operational use
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and improvement opportunities
About You
You will bring experience supporting ICT environments and a strong ability to connect operational issues with service and engineering improvements.
Key experience includes:
- Proven background in technical support across enterprise ICT environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis and problem management
- Experience producing clear documentation and knowledge articles
- Ability to communicate effectively with:
- users
- technical teams
- stakeholders
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments
Requirements
- Current NV1 security clearance (mandatory)
- Based in Canberra
