Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Identity Engineer (L3) to join a high-performing enterprise technology team supporting a large-scale Identity and Access Management (IdAM) environment within a multi-cloud ecosystem.
This role is ideal for a hands-on Identity Engineer with strong Microsoft identity expertise, automation capability, and experience integrating secure access solutions across enterprise platforms.
- 12 months contract with another 12 months extension option.
- This role is open to ACT, QLD, VIC & NSW
- Open to Australian citizens with an active NV1 security clearance
- Hybrid role ( 3 days in office and 2 days WFH).

Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and enhance enterprise Identity and Access Management (IdAM) solutions
- Onboard new applications and services into a multi-cloud identity environment
- Design and maintain secure access provisioning, de-provisioning, privileged access, and auditing processes
- Develop and improve automation capabilities to reduce manual effort
- Integrate identity solutions across applications and environments in collaboration with engineering and development teams
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Identity technologies, including Conditional Access policies
- Respond to competing priorities and urgent operational requests while maintaining high service standards
- Manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute positively to team culture and organisational values
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience designing, implementing, and supporting Identity and Access Management solutions
- Strong experience withAPIs and identity integration technologies, particularly:
- SCIM
- Microsoft Graph API
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Experience working within cloud and multi-cloud environments
- Strong experience with Microsoft Identity solutions, including Conditional Access design and administration
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory
- Experience driving automation and operational efficiency initiatives
- Strong understanding of identity governance and security best practices
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced enterprise environment
- Positive and inclusive attitude aligned to supporting people with disability and diverse communities
