Information Management Specialist
Brisbane CBD | Contract Opportunity | Hybrid Working Arrangement
We are partnering with a large Queensland-based organisation undertaking a significant information management and digital transformation initiative. An opportunity exists for an experienced Information Management Specialist to support the uplift of information management capabilities, modernisation of legacy systems, and adoption of contemporary Microsoft 365-based solutions.
This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project resources to analyse current-state processes, gather requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and support the successful delivery of information management and governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Conduct current-state and future-state process analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to support the transition from legacy document and records management platforms to modern Microsoft 365 environments.
- Analyse business processes, information management practices, and governance requirements to support solution design and implementation.
- Develop business requirements, process maps, user stories, functional specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Support data migration activities, including process analysis, metadata mapping, validation, and business readiness activities.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives, governance standards, and operational requirements.
- Assist with stakeholder communications, change activities, testing, and implementation planning.
About You
You will be an experienced Information Management Specialist with strong stakeholder engagement and process improvement skills, ideally gained within large and complex environments.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Information Management Specialist delivering technology, information management, or business transformation projects.
- Strong requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, and business process mapping skills.
- Experience working across both business and technical stakeholder groups.
- Strong documentation skills, including business requirements, functional specifications, process models, and user stories.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, governance, or enterprise platform implementations.
Highly Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, or information management initiatives.
- Experience with document and records management systems.
- Exposure to data migration, governance, compliance, or information management projects.
- Previous experience working within government or large enterprise environments.
