We're seeking a capable Infrastructure Engineer to support the design, delivery and ongoing management of infrastructure within a large, complex enterprise ICT environment.

This isn't simply a business-as-usual support role. You'll be involved in technical projects, infrastructure improvements, data centre operations and the challenges that come with keeping critical ICT services reliable, secure and performing at their best.

What You'll Be Doing

• Infrastructure delivery: Coordinate and implement infrastructure installations, upgrades, changes and decommissioning activities.
• Data centre infrastructure: Support rack allocation, power utilisation, cabling and infrastructure planning.
• Technical design: Develop and review infrastructure designs, architecture documentation, standards and operating procedures.
• Problem-solving: Investigate complex infrastructure issues, support major incident recovery and perform root cause analysis.
• Project coordination: Work with Project Managers and technical teams to plan activities, manage risks and deliver outcomes.
• Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, security, performance and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

You'll bring a strong technical infrastructure background and the ability to work confidently across both project delivery and operational environments.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Hands-on experience supporting, implementing or designing enterprise ICT infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem management and technical change experience.
• An understanding of infrastructure availability, reliability and service improvement.
• Experience with systems design, infrastructure installation and technical documentation.
• Basic scripting or automation capabilities.
• The ability to coordinate technical activities and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience working within structured ICT governance and change management processes.

Highly regarded experience includes:

• Data centre infrastructure, facilities and ICT equipment installations.
• Infrastructure architecture and operational design.
• ITIL, Microsoft or Cisco certifications.
• Technical design and documentation tools such as Visio or AutoCAD.
• Delivering infrastructure projects within complex or highly governed environments.

The Opportunity

• Location: Queensland (Brisbane) or South Australia (Adelaide)
• Engagement: Contract opportunity, APS6-equivalent level, Start: Nov 2026
• Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
• Security: Baseline security clearance.
