We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect for a 6-month contract supporting a major enterprise transformation program within a large and complex Queensland-based organisation.

This role will suit a senior integration specialist who is comfortable working across enterprise architecture, SAP landscapes, security, infrastructure, networks, and business-facing project teams. You will play a key role in shaping secure, scalable and fit-for-purpose integration designs across a modern enterprise environment.

About the role

You will be joining a specialist delivery team working on a major future-state transformation program involving new operating models, modern enterprise systems and integrated supply chain capability.

The core focus of the role is to ensure the proposed solution is technically sound, secure, scalable and aligned to enterprise architecture standards. You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical design of interfaces and extensions across SAP S/4HANA and related systems.

You will work closely with Solution Architects, Functional Experts, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Network and technical delivery teams to ensure integration designs are practical, compliant and ready for delivery.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead the technical design of integration interfaces and system extensions across SAP S/4HANA and connected enterprise platforms
• Analyse existing and future-state system landscapes to define secure and scalable integration solutions
• Design integration patterns across technologies such as RFC, IDoc, OData, REST, SOAP, SAP BTP and SAP CPI
• Define technical connectivity requirements including network zones, routing, ports, protocols and firewall rules
• Support authentication and identity design across SAP environments, including SSO, SAML, OAuth, certificates and controlled external connectivity
• Prepare architecture and design documentation such as Solution Architecture Design and Solution Implementation Design documents
• Work with infrastructure, security, network and enterprise architecture teams to validate and refine technical designs
• Ensure designs align with enterprise architecture standards, governance requirements and industry best practice
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support knowledge transfer and handover activities to internal teams

About you

You will be a strong fit for this role if you have:

• 10+ years’ experience in integration architecture within complex enterprise environments
• Strong experience designing integrations across SAP S/4HANA and connected systems
• Experience with SAP BTP, SAP CPI, SAP Cloud ALM or similar SAP technical environments
• Strong knowledge of integration technologies including RFC, IDoc, OData, REST APIs, SOAP, certificates, tokens and encryption
• Experience producing high-quality architecture documentation, including SAD and SID artefacts
• A strong understanding of enterprise security, connectivity, infrastructure, performance, resilience and monitoring requirements
• Ability to work across technical and business teams to resolve design constraints and influence outcomes
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and practical way

Experience in health, pharmaceutical, supply chain, warehousing, logistics or large regulated environments would be highly regarded.
