We are seeking an experienced Integration Lead to support a SAP S/4HANA technical upgrade in a Sydney-based contract role.This role will play a key part in ensuring all integrations—both SAP and non-SAP—continue to operate seamlessly during and after the upgrade, including middleware, IDocs, APIs, file-based interfaces, and event-driven integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Integration Planning & Assessment: Evaluate the impact of the S/4HANA upgrade and potential migration to BTP on existing integrations; maintain integration inventories and dependency maps.
• Build & Remediation: Coordinate troubleshooting and remediation of integration issues across middleware and interface components; work closely with Basis, Security, Network, and external support teams.
• Testing & Defect Management: Support unit testing, SIT/UAT cycles, and defect resolution; review test outcomes and interface logs to ensure integrations perform as expected.
• Cutover & Hypercare: Plan and manage cutover activities, interface re-pointing, transport sequencing, and batch schedules; provide post-go-live support and stabilization.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain integration documentation, provide QA oversight on artefacts, and deliver knowledge transfer to support teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in SAP integration roles with at least 8+ years of total IT experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP integration technologies, such as IDoc/ALE, RFC, BAPI, OData/REST/SOAP, SFTP, and job scheduling.
• Familiarity with SAP middleware platforms (BTP, SAP PO, etc.) and/or other middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, Tibco, AIS).
• Understanding of cloud technologies, integration patterns, and network connectivity.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder communication skills across technical teams and vendors.

Desirable

• Experience with cloud/hybrid integrations and API management.
• Knowledge of SAP security/authentication concepts, certificate management, and SSO.
• ITIL awareness and experience in regulated environments.
• Exposure to S/4HANA upgrades or migrations to BTP is a plus.
