Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Intelligence Analyst for an initial 6-month contract, to support their operational decision-making, compliance activities, and strategic risk assessment within a regulatory and enforcement environment.

This role is responsible for collecting, evaluating, and interpreting intelligence to identify emerging risks, trends, and priority targets, delivering actionable insights to support investigations and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and evaluate intelligence from multiple sources (open source, internal systems, and partner agencies), assessing credibility and relevance
  • Analyse structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, trends, and potential threats
  • Monitor industry developments and conduct risk assessments to support operational and strategic priorities
  • Produce high-quality intelligence reports, briefs, and dashboards tailored to decision-makers
  • Collaborate with analysts, investigators, and external stakeholders to maintain shared situational awareness
  • Utilise intelligence and data tools (e.g., Power BI, Analyst Notebook, mapping and link analysis tools) to manage and interrogate large datasets
  • Maintain structured intelligence repositories, ensuring legal, ethical, and records management compliance
  • Engage and communicate effectively with operational leaders and partner agencies
  • Adapt analytical approaches in dynamic environments with evolving information
  • Provide guidance and support to a Compliance Data Officer (1 direct report)

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in intelligence collection, evaluation, and analysis
  • Strong capability in transforming raw data into clear, actionable intelligence products
  • Experience in industry monitoring and proactive risk identification
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level briefing
  • Proficiency in intelligence platforms, data visualisation, and analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, link analysis, mapping tools)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to operate in uncertain or fast-paced environments
  • Experience in knowledge and records management practices

Additional Requirements

  • Current Police Clearance
  • Valid Class C Driver’s Licence
