My client is seeking a Splunk Engineer with 3–5 years of experience working in IT monitoring and incident management.
You should have hands-on experience with Splunk, ideally Splunk ITSI, or be a strong Splunk Power User.
You also need to be familiar with ServiceNow for ticketing and understand ITIL processes.
Requirement :
- Use Splunk ITSI to watch IT systems and applications
- Check that tickets are created correctly in ServiceNow
- Create tickets manually if something goes wrong
- Review alerts, identify false alarms, and improve alert quality
- Make sure incidents are resolved within SLA timeframes
- Perform daily system health checks and report issues
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on alerts and incidents
- Update dashboards, alerts, KPIs, and thresholds in Splunk
- Keep documentation (runbooks and procedures) up to date
- Suggest improvements to monitoring and automation
Required skills :
- Strong experience with Splunk ITSI (dashboards, alerts, KPIs)
- Experience using ServiceNow for incident tickets
- Good understanding of ITIL (Incident and Problem Management)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
