ITERATION MANAGER/ SCRUM MASTER - BRISBANE, QLD

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master and/or Iteration Manager to join a large scale digital transformation program focused on education systems across Queensland. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is passionate about Agile delivery, and can guide teams to achieve consistent, high-quality outcomes.

You will work closely with project managers, delivery leads, developers, testers, product owners and stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved, while fostering Agile best practices and maintaining a focus on team performance and stakeholder outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach team members to embed and increase adoption of Agile practices.
• Support self-managed teams in removing blockers, resolving dependencies, and maintaining flow.
• Track sprint progress against hours and schedule, proactively identifying risks and recommending solutions.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting in Azure DevOps.
• Ensure priorities, backlogs, and release plans are aligned with business strategy.
• Work closely with project leaders to keep teams focused on the highest-value outcomes.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong experience as a Scrum Master or Iteration Manager in a large organisation.
• Demonstrated track record facilitating Agile ceremonies and improving delivery outcomes.
• Proven ability to coach teams in Agile principles and drive adoption across functions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Proven background in technology projects, ideally enterprise-scale.
• Desirable: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Microsoft Azure DevOps experience.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Availability to work on-site in Queensland (initially full-time on-site, hybrid may be considered after).
