About the Role

Are you a Java developer looking for long-term stability and the opportunity to work on meaningful, enterprise-scale systems? This contract offers job security through mid-2026 and the chance to contribute to core business applications used daily.

You’ll join a collaborative development team responsible for building, enhancing, and supporting in-house systems. The role combines hands-on development with analysis, design, and ongoing support, giving you plenty of scope to apply and grow your technical expertise across modern Java, Oracle, and web technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new and enhanced applications

• Analyse design options, assessing risks, benefits, and service impacts

• Apply development best practices, including code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing

• Support and maintain existing enterprise applications

• Work closely with stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years’ experience with Enterprise Java (Java 17/21 preferred)

• Strong Oracle database skills (SQL, PL/SQL), Hibernate/JPA, Maven

• Front-end experience with JSF/PrimeFaces, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery

• Testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito, Selenium

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket

• Familiarity with Tomcat, IntelliJ or Eclipse, and Unix/Windows environments
