About the Role
As a Junior Test Analyst, you will work within the IT programs—responsible for delivering complex, high-risk digital transformation programs across government. You will play a vital role in testing and quality assurance across systems integration activities, ensuring a high level of software reliability and compliance.
This role involves both manual and automated testing and will see you collaborating with technical teams, business SMEs, and other government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse requirements and conduct static testing

Design, execute and manage test cases across:

System Testing
-
System Integration Testing
-
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
-
Production Verification Testing (PVT)
-

Create test data and ensure traceability
-
Participate in test case reviews and defect triage
-
Identify regression tests and testing risks
-
Provide detailed progress reports to project stakeholders
-
Ensure alignment with testing strategies and standards
Essential Skills & Experience
-
Experience in system integration testing (web apps, mobility, portals)
-
Proficiency with manual testing tools (e.g. Jira)
-
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate requirements into test cases
-
Intermediate SQL Server knowledge
-
Ability to troubleshoot and isolate test failures
-
Confident in providing clear and consistent testing updates
-
Accountable and effective communicator with diverse teams
Desirable Experience
-
Exposure to automated testing, especially with SmartBear TestComplete/TestExecute
-
Testing experience on large-scale or multi-year projects
-
Familiarity with data testing, ETL processes, and large datasets
-
Understanding of data mapping, reconciliation, and validation
-
Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
