Required Skills:
- Proven ability to communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to audiences with diverse technical backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience in designing or delivering hands-on technical training, including hacking methodologies, security technologies, and log analysis.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical details into language relevant to business and operational needs.
- Experience in developing online learning materials and training courses tailored to specific user groups.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance standards, such as the Australian Information Security Manual.
- Leadership skills to oversee content development projects and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Flexibility to work onsite within Canberra or regional locations, depending on operational requirements.
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain Negative Vetting Level 2 clearance.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with digital media production, such as creating online refresher videos or interactive courses.
- Previous work within government or defense cybersecurity training environments.
- Knowledge of secure government security standards and policies, including DISP standards.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, instructional design, communications, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity training or content development, with demonstrated leadership at a senior level (EL1 or equivalent).
- Experience working with government agencies or defense sectors is highly desirable.
Other Requirements:
- Must hold an active Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance.
- Willingness to work on-site in Canberra, with arrangements aligned to operational needs.
- 12 month contract
