Required Skills:

• Proven expertise in methods and tools selection, evaluation, and implementation aligned with organisational policies
• Strong leadership in performance management, including setting strategic objectives and cultivating high-performing teams
• Extensive experience managing complex ICT projects, including risk mitigation, change management, and quality controls
• Strategic resource planning and deployment, ensuring effective use of personnel and tools within compliance standards
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, building long-term relationships with internal teams and external partners
• Formal qualifications in Project or Delivery Management (certifications preferred)
• Experience supporting agile workflows, coaching teams, and facilitating continuous improvement
• Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience within government or defence environments
• Familiarity with cyber security operations or signals intelligence projects
• Additional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe Agile
• Knowledge of national security frameworks and operational security measures
• Experience mentoring and developing senior technical team members

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Project Management, Business Administration or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred
• At least 8-10 years of senior ICT project management experience
• Proven leadership of large-scale, complex ICT initiatives, especially in government or defense sectors
• Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams within Agile environments
• Strong strategic planning and stakeholder management capabilities, especially in operational transition contexts

Other Requirements:

• Work location is in Canberra (ACT)
• Maximum of 40 hours per week
• Must hold a Positive Vetting security clearance
