About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to join our dynamic infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-level Linux environments, focusing on automation, configuration management, and system reliability. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, performance, and security of Linux-based systems while contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives across cloud and DevOps environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and maintain RHEL/Red Hat systems and related infrastructure
- Automate and configure systems using Ansible and Jinja
- Manage and troubleshoot LDAP, Perl, and sysadmin-supported applications
- Handle patching and provisioning through Red Hat Satellite
- Configure and maintain BIND and DNS environments
- Manage version control using Git/GitHub
- Work within ServiceNow for incident, request, and change management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure improvements and cloud-based automation
Essential Skills & Experience
Primarily:
- Ansible and Jinja for configuration management
- LDAP and Perl scripting experience
- RHEL/Red Hat OS administration and general sysadmin applications support
- Red Hat Satellite expertise
- BIND and DNS management
- Git/GitHub for version control
- ServiceNow agent experience
Secondary (Desirable):
- Web server administration (Apache, Nginx)
- Scripting in Bash and Python
- Squid proxy configuration
- VMware support and management
- Load balancing with Big IP/F5 LTM
- OpenSSL and certificate management
- Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Familiarity with Isilon and EMC PowerMAX storage solutions
Cloud & DevOps:
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools and practices
