Our client is seeking an experienced M365 Systems Administrator who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Based on-site in Canberra, you’ll be the go-to technical expert keeping corporate and secure network environments running smoothly, securely, and efficiently.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Take ownership of Microsoft 365 administration – from configuration and maintenance to ongoing optimisation.
- Strengthen cyber defences by managing MFA, conditional access, and threat protection.
- Implement and monitor data compliance policies, including DLP and retention across Microsoft 365.
- Keep sensitive networks performing at their best with strong uptime, security, and reliability.
- Oversee the physical and environmental security of secure IT facilities.
- Ensure alignment with the PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight cybersecurity frameworks.
- Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues quickly and effectively.
- Manage IT requests and incidents through the internal ticketing system.
- Coordinate hardware and software procurement, working closely with trusted vendors.
- Plan and deliver system maintenance and upgrades alongside internal and external teams.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 5+ years of experience in IT administration or technical support, ideally in a government, consulting, or professional services setting.
- Solid understanding of secure network environments and government cybersecurity compliance.
- Must hold strong customer service principles and a solution based mindset
- Must hold an active security clearance
- A proactive mindset, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team.
