MS Dynamics Software Engineer (Developer)

• Location: Canberra
• Initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options
• Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance is mandatory

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics Software Engineer (Developer) to join a high-performing ICT team supporting and enhancing enterprise business applications within a complex government environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive developer with strong Microsoft Dynamics experience to contribute to the sustainment and enhancement of critical CRM-based solutions within an Agile delivery environment.

About the Role

As part of a multidisciplinary Agile team, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of enterprise Microsoft Dynamics solutions. The role involves working across a highly integrated ICT environment and supporting ongoing sustainment activities, including Level 2/3 support and system improvements.

You will collaborate closely with developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile project delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
• Develop, customise, configure, and support Microsoft Dynamics solutions
• Contribute to enhancement and sustainment activities across enterprise applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Work across multiple technologies and manage competing priorities effectively
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
• Document technical processes, procedures, and best practices
• Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Microsoft Dynamics development
• Strong experience with Dynamics customisation and configuration
• Experience with:
  • .NET
  • C#
  • JavaScript
  • SQL Server
• Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Experience contributing within multidisciplinary technical teams
• Commitment to documentation and knowledge sharing

Desirable Skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (e.g. MB-200, MB-400)
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including:
  • Power Apps
  • Power Automate
  • Power BI
