MS Dynamics Software Engineer (Developer)
- Location: Canberra
- Initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options
- Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance is mandatory
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics Software Engineer (Developer) to join a high-performing ICT team supporting and enhancing enterprise business applications within a complex government environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive developer with strong Microsoft Dynamics experience to contribute to the sustainment and enhancement of critical CRM-based solutions within an Agile delivery environment.
About the Role
As part of a multidisciplinary Agile team, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of enterprise Microsoft Dynamics solutions. The role involves working across a highly integrated ICT environment and supporting ongoing sustainment activities, including Level 2/3 support and system improvements.
You will collaborate closely with developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in Agile project delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- Develop, customise, configure, and support Microsoft Dynamics solutions
- Contribute to enhancement and sustainment activities across enterprise applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Work across multiple technologies and manage competing priorities effectively
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
- Document technical processes, procedures, and best practices
- Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Microsoft Dynamics development
- Strong experience with Dynamics customisation and configuration
- Experience with:
- .NET
- C#
- JavaScript
- SQL Server
- Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Experience contributing within multidisciplinary technical teams
- Commitment to documentation and knowledge sharing
Desirable Skills
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (e.g. MB-200, MB-400)
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including:
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- Power BI
