An enterprise organisation is seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to be involved in maintaining the stability, performance and security of a large, complex network environment. The successful engineer will take ownership of a defined network segment and be responsible for ensuring its operational health, troubleshooting issues in real time, and responding to incidents with confidence and technical depth.

The position is hands‑on and focused on day‑to‑day BAU operational support. It sits within a collaborative operations environment where each engineer manages their own area while working closely with peers and technical specialists. The role involves supporting Cisco networking, wireless and security technologies, managing incidents from identification through to resolution, and contributing to ongoing service improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day BAU operational support for an assigned network segment
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across Cisco routing, switching, wireless and firewall platforms
• Respond to P1/P2/P3 incidents, restoring services promptly and communicating clearly with stakeholders
• Monitor network health, performance and availability, escalating issues as required
• Support Cisco wireless environments, including controller and access point troubleshooting
• Work with Cisco security technologies including firewalls and access policy controls
• Perform operational tasks such as configuration adjustments, remediation and routine checks
• Collaborate with internal teams during incidents, changes and operational activities
• Document incident resolutions, changes and operational procedures
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in network reliability and operational efficiency

Essential Requirements

• Strong hands‑on BAU network operations experience
• Proven capability in incident management and fault resolution
• Solid experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies
• Experience supporting Cisco wireless environments
• Experience with Cisco firewalls in an operational capacity
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across enterprise network infrastructure
• Experience working within structured operational environments
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with Zscaler or similar cloud security platforms
• Exposure to large enterprise or highly regulated environments
• Experience in network monitoring and diagnostic tools
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP
• Familiarity with operational change and incident frameworks
