Our client, a prominent national infrastructure provider, is seeking a talented Senior Network Security Engineer to join their team. This is your chance to work on complex, impactful projects that protect vital infrastructure and drive security excellence.
What you will bring:
- A recognised Diploma in IT or Engineering (Australian-recognised for overseas candidates)
- Over 7 years of hands-on experience supporting complex network security environments
- Expertise in Network Security Gateway technologies and architecture (NGFW, BGP, Load Balancing, VPN, IPS/IDS)
- In-depth knowledge of IT security principles aligned with the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
- Proven ability to detect, analyze, and respond to security threats using advanced analytic tools
- Strong systems engineering background and experience managing change control processes
- Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain Negative Vetting 1 Security clearance
- Advanced certifications in Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, F5, and Infoblox are highly desirable; relevant industry experience may also be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting secure networks within government or large enterprise environments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders
Position Highlights:
- Location: Brisbane
- Contract: 2-year fixed term (Paid Annual Leave & Sick Leave)
- Salary: $171,000+ plus 14% superannuation
- Hybrid role ( 3 days in office and 2 days WFH)
