An enterprise organisation is seeking 2 experienced Network Architects to look across both Access & Connectivity and Core & Security domains. This role spans the enterprise’s campus, edge, core, and security environments, supporting major modernisation initiatives while ensuring our network remains scalable, secure, and fit for the future.
You will work across high‑level design, discovery, and architectural guidance, supporting programs including site network uplift, Zero Trust enablement, and the Modern SIEM transformation. This role is hands‑on, collaborative, and central to shaping the enterprise network across multiple environments.
Core Overlapping Responsibilities across both roles
- Lead network discovery, current‑state analysis, and high‑level design activities.
- Develop architecture artefacts including HLDs, patterns, design packages, and options papers.
- Work across Cisco networking, including switching, routing, wireless, firewalls, and SDN technologies.
- Provide architectural guidance to engineering, delivery, and operational teams.
- Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders, contributing to collaborative decision‑making.
Access & Connectivity Role Specific Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design for campus, access, and edge network uplift projects, including distribution centres, site offices, and store networks.
- Guide technology uplift across SDN campus, enterprise wireless, switching, routing, and WAN.
- Evaluate existing site environments and develop upgrade strategies, patterns, and recommendations.
- Work heavily with Cisco technologies and Juniper where required.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise in areas including SD‑Access / SDN campus, LAN/WAN, Wireless design and optimisation and DNAC
Core & Security Role Specific Responsibilities
- Lead architectural work supporting Zero Trust uplift initiatives.
- Conduct discovery and workshops focused on secure access, proxy integration (e.g., Chrome secure proxy, Zscaler), and network readiness.
- Develop future‑state architecture to support Zero Trust–aligned access models.
- Assess and execute the migration of syslog and device logs to the Modern SIEM platform.
- Re‑engineer IP paths, routing, and dependencies for secure and reliable log ingestion.
Shared Essential Requirements
- Strong experience as a Network Architect or senior technical leader in large enterprise environments.
- Deep hands‑on capability in Cisco networking (switching, routing, wireless, core, security).
- Solid understanding of IP networking principles, enterprise connectivity, and complex multi‑site environments.
- Experience conducting discovery, assessments, and architectural workshops.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality architecture documentation and design artefacts (HLD/LLD).
Access & Connectivity–Specific Requirements
- Extensive experience in access, campus, or edge environments.
- Strong capability in wireless, LAN/WAN, SDN campus technologies.
- Experience with DNAC / SD‑Access is highly desirable.
- Exposure to Juniper networking equipment.
Core & Security–Specific Requirements
- Experience delivering network architecture across core and security domains.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust, secure access architecture, and platforms like Zscaler.
- Expertise in syslog pipelines, log ingestion, and SIEM‑related network design.
- Familiarity with Cisco security products and firewall ecosystems (FTD, ASA, etc.).
- Experience with ACI, SD‑WAN, SDA, or cloud networking is desirable.
- Knowledge of Palo Alto or broader security tooling is advantageous.
Desirable Certifications
- CCNP / CCIE
- JNCIS / JNCIP
- Relevant security or cloud networking certifications
