Oracle Solaris & Linux System Administrator
Are you an experienced systems administrator with a passion for enterprise technology and legacy platform support? We are seeking a skilled Oracle Solaris & Linux System Administrator to join our team, providing robust operational and technical support for mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain Oracle Linux and Oracle Solaris systems running on SPARC M12, S7-series, and x86 hardware.

Oversee system performance, proactively detecting, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to minimize system downtime.

Apply security hardening and configuration updates per best practices.

Optimize and enhance system performance, ensuring business continuity and system reliability.
-
Conduct comprehensive testing and deliver end-user support for legacy systems.

Provide 24/7 monitoring and support for both SPARC and x86 platforms, including actioning OS error messages.

Monitor master console and coordinate with third-party service engineers for onsite support and change implementations.
Mandatory Requirements:

Australian citizenship is essential.

Baseline (or higher) security clearance is strongly recommended.
Desired Skills and Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in Oracle Solaris and Oracle Linux administration.

Strong background in SPARC Solaris and Oracle Linux environments.

Advanced proficiency in Unix shell scripting and automation.

Demonstrated ability in managing and supporting enterprise and legacy platforms in a highly available environment.
