Organisational Change Manager ( EL1 Equivalent) – ICT Transformation Program

Location: ACT ( Hybrid)
Contract: 6 months
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
Security Clearance: Must have a Baseline clearance

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Organisational Change Manager to support a large scale ICT and asset refresh program within a Federal Government environment.

Working within a Program Management Office, you will lead and deliver change management and communication strategies across a complex program of work consisting of multiple projects focused on technology, systems, business processes, and organisational structures.

This role is suited to a senior change professional with experience supporting ICT transformation initiatives within the APS who thrives in complex, multi- stakeholder environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement change management strategies and communication plans across multiple projects within a large ICT program.

  • Analyse change impacts and develop structured change management plans covering analysis, planning, communication, implementation and adoption.

  • Design and implement change management tools, frameworks and processes to support program delivery and stakeholder engagement.

  • Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to plan and execute change initiatives supporting system, process and organisational changes.

  • Provide expert advice on change management and communication strategies to project teams and senior stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business and technology teams .

  • Represent the program in communications forums and cross- departmental networks .

  • Prepare high- quality written communication materials, reports and updates on change initiatives and progress.

  • Coach and guide project teams on best practice change management approaches to support successful adoption.


Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in organisational change management and communications roles within the APS.

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience delivering organisational change and communication initiatives.

  • 3 5 years’ experience supporting ICT related change programs , including technology or digital transformation initiatives.

  • Experience developing and delivering communication strategies and stakeholder engagement plans .

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills , including the ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across business and technical stakeholders .

  • A demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in complex program environments .

  • High levels of initiative, self motivation and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively .


Additional Information

  • Hybrid working arrangements available in the ACT.

  • Candidates must have a Baseline Security Clearance .
