We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Delivery Manager (PDM) to lead the delivery of a major ICT Program of Work that supports critical services for one of Australia’s most dynamic city councils.
In this role, you’ll provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership to ensure the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of ICT projects, from concept to closure. Working within an established governance framework, you will oversee planning, prioritisation, and execution to deliver fit-for-purpose, enterprise-ready solutions that meet business and community needs.
What you’ll do:

Lead, mentor, and support project managers to deliver large-scale, complex ICT initiatives.

Manage portfolio performance, governance, budgets, and risk to ensure successful outcomes.

Partner with stakeholders across the organisation, influencing and negotiating to resolve challenges in sensitive environments.

Oversee program interdependencies, conflicting priorities, and vendor relationships.

Contribute to strategic investment planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll bring:

10+ years’ experience delivering major ICT programs and portfolios in complex enterprise environments.

Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary ICT teams through large-scale transformation.

Strong skills in stakeholder management, influence, and negotiation.

Expertise in program/project methodologies such as MSP, PMBok, PRINCE2 or SAFe.

Demonstrated financial, risk, and vendor management capabilities.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ICT concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
