Portfolio Support Officer

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Portfolio Support Officer to join a dynamic Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) with our client. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, strategic environment where you will support portfolio governance, business operations, and project delivery outcomes.

About the role

As a Portfolio Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of portfolio activities. Working closely with senior leaders, you will deliver high-quality reporting, coordinate project information, and provide end-to-end secretariat support for governance forums. Your ability to manage competing priorities and maintain strong stakeholder relationships will be essential to success in this role.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare strategic portfolio reports, briefs, and presentations
  • Coordinate and maintain project and portfolio documentation
  • Support portfolio reporting cycles by collating and analysing project data
  • Provide end-to-end secretariat support, including agendas, papers, and minutes
  • Manage workflows, enquiries, and competing priorities from senior stakeholders
  • Assist in identifying issues and providing recommendations to support decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, processes, and standards
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation

About you

You are a detail-oriented and collaborative professional who thrives in a structured yet fast-paced environment. You bring strong administrative and coordination skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience in administrative support or business coordination roles
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and facilitating meetings
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and portfolio processes
  • Proficiency in portfolio tools and systems (e.g. Project Online, SAP)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
