Power BI developer:
- Initial 3 months contract with chances of extensions
- Based in Adelaide
- Strong knowledge of Power BI and analytics modelling
About the Role:
Our reputed client is seeking Power BI developer with extensive experience with Strong Power BI semantic modelling to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop direct lake semantic models over Gold delta tables.
- Define star schemas, relationships, measures and calculation groups.
- Implement RLS / OLS aligned with security groups.
- Ensure performant Direct Lake queries.
- Publish, version and maintain shared datasets within Domains consumed by PowerBI downstream.
- Enforce and drive “thin PowerBI” rule – minimal embedded business logic in reports.
Experience:
- PowerBI, Fabric if possible or equivalent.
- 5+ years on BI and analytics modelling.
- Semantic models, DAX, dimensional modelling.
- Experience with enterprise level datasets and systems thinking.
- Cert: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600) or PowerBI data analyst associate (PL-300).
- Skills: Strong Power BI semantic modelling, DAX / M / PowerQuery, Enterprise BI security / RBAC patterns, Git and fabric deployment pipelines.
