Power BI developer:

• Initial 3 months contract with chances of extensions
• Based in Adelaide
• Strong knowledge of Power BI and analytics modelling

About the Role:
Our reputed client is seeking Power BI developer with extensive experience with Strong Power BI semantic modelling to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop direct lake semantic models over Gold delta tables.
• Define star schemas, relationships, measures and calculation groups.
• Implement RLS / OLS aligned with security groups.
• Ensure performant Direct Lake queries.
• Publish, version and maintain shared datasets within Domains consumed by PowerBI downstream.
• Enforce and drive “thin PowerBI” rule – minimal embedded business logic in reports.

Experience:

• PowerBI, Fabric if possible or equivalent.
• 5+ years on BI and analytics modelling.
• Semantic models, DAX, dimensional modelling.
• Experience with enterprise level datasets and systems thinking.
• Cert: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600) or PowerBI data analyst associate (PL-300).
• Skills: Strong Power BI semantic modelling, DAX / M / PowerQuery, Enterprise BI security / RBAC patterns, Git and fabric deployment pipelines.
