An enterprise organisation is seeking a highly experienced Program Director to lead a large‑scale cloud migration program as part of a long‑term technology transformation initiative. This is a senior, highly visible role with responsibility for steering a complex delivery through to completion and restoring strong execution momentum across a significant AWS migration.

The Program Director will assume end‑to‑end accountability for the program, working across a complex ecosystem that includes executive sponsors, global technology stakeholders, and a major external cloud delivery partner. This role requires a leader who has successfully delivered large cloud migrations before, understands how to manage vendor performance, and can operate confidently at C‑suite level.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large scale, multi‑year cloud migration program through to completion
• Take ownership of a program and drive delivery stability, pace, and confidence
• Oversee migration of applications from on‑premise environments to AWS while maintaining quality and security
• Manage and govern the external delivery partner, ensuring performance, capability, and accountability
• Establish strong program governance, reporting, financial oversight, and risk management
• Engage and influence senior stakeholders including executive and C‑suite leaders locally and globally
• Drive clear prioritisation and sequencing to maximise delivery velocity
• Ensure the cloud operating model and FinOps capabilities are embedded and transitioned into BAU

Requirements

• Proven experience leading large scale enterprise cloud migration programs
• Background in banking, financial services, insurance, or similarly regulated industries
• Demonstrated delivery of on‑premise to public cloud transformations, ideally AWS
• Strong Program Director or equivalent senior delivery experience
• Experience managing complex vendor and partner ecosystems
• Extensive senior stakeholder and executive engagement experience
• Ability to recover, reset, and stabilise programs that have previously been off track
• Strong governance, financial management, and reporting capability
• Experience working in regulated environments

Desirable

• Experience establishing cloud operating models and transitioning into operational teams
• Exposure to FinOps frameworks and cloud cost optimisation
• Experience working across global technology teams and offshore delivery models
• AWS certifications or strong hands‑on AWS knowledge
