With a multi-billion-dollar operating environment and a broad portfolio spanning infrastructure, transport, community services, and digital initiatives, this organisation is undertaking a significant enterprise-wide ERP transformation.

We’re seeking a Program Finance Controller to play a key role in ensuring strong financial governance, transparency, and control across this high-profile program.

The Role

Reporting into the Program Integration Office, you will take ownership of end-to-end financial governance, forecasting, and reporting across a complex ERP program.

This is a hands-on role requiring precision, commercial acumen, and strong stakeholder engagement across a fast-paced delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead program-wide financial forecasting across multiple project streams and delivery phases

• Own vendor financial management, including invoice validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution

• Manage purchase order lifecycle and ensure alignment with procurement and financial controls

• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, including month-end, governance packs, and executive insights

• Partner with project and program leaders to set, track, and optimise budgets and forecasts

• Provide financial input into change requests, vendor variations, and commercial decisions

• Drive consistency in financial governance, reporting standards, and portfolio-level insights

• Act as a trusted advisor in program governance forums, influencing financial decision-making

What You Bring

• 5+ years’ experience in program/project finance, commercial management, or financial control —ideally within large technology or ERP programs

• Proven experience managing systems integrators and technology vendors in complex delivery environments

• Strong expertise in financial forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting across large portfolios

• Demonstrated ability to challenge vendor costs and manage commercial risks

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at program and executive level

• High attention to detail with the ability to operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Highly Regarded

• Experience with SAP or large-scale ERP transformations

• Background in government or large enterprise programs

• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)

• Power BI reporting capability

• CPA / CA or equivalent qualification
