We are partnering with a major enterprise organisation delivering one of the largest workforce and payroll transformation programs in the public sector.

This is a senior Project Implementation Manager opportunity for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys real ownership of delivery, and knows how to lead multidisciplinary teams through large-scale change. The program has strong executive sponsorship, a mature governance model, and a long runway of work, making this a highly attractive contract for experienced delivery professionals.

You will be embedded in the program, working closely with operational leaders, technical teams, change specialists, and vendors to ensure successful implementation and adoption across multiple sites.

This is a hands-on delivery role. You will be expected to lead from the front, solve problems early, and maintain momentum across parallel workstreams.

The Role

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of a large ICT-enabled workforce management implementation across multiple locations. Your focus will on execution, stakeholder alignment, operational readiness, and measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading multidisciplinary delivery teams across concurrent implementation sites
  • Owning project governance, schedule, financial control, risk, and reporting
  • Driving business change and operational adoption, not just technical delivery
  • Working closely with change management and solution specialists to ensure smooth rollout
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, operational leaders, and vendors
  • Managing benefits realisation, lessons learned, and continuous improvement
  • Representing the program at steering committees and executive forums
  • Ensuring delivery aligns to enterprise PMO frameworks and governance standards

Intrastate travel is a core part of this role. You will typically be based onsite at assigned locations for the majority of the working week, with accommodation and travel arranged where required.

What We’re Looking For

This role suits a proven senior Project Implementation Manager who has successfully delivered complex enterprise programs in government or highly regulated environments.

You will bring:

  • Minimum 3+ years leading large, complex ICT-enabled business change programs
  • Strong leadership capability across multidisciplinary delivery teams
  • Deep experience applying formal project management methodologies and governance frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
  • Ability to drive behavioural change, adoption, and operational uplift
  • Confidence operating in complex, high-accountability environments
  • Experience with workforce systems, payroll platforms, HR systems, or enterprise platforms is highly regarded but not essential

We are looking for someone who is delivery-focused, commercially grounded, and comfortable operating at pace in high-visibility programs.

Why This Role

  • Large-scale enterprise transformation with real operational impact
  • Strong extension potential and long-term delivery pipeline
  • Mature governance and well-structured program environment
  • Competitive daily rate aligned to senior accountability
  • Opportunity to lead visible, high-impact change across multiple sites

Location & Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be based in Queensland with full Australian working rights
  • Interstate candidates will only be considered if you are willing to relocate for the duration of the role
  • This role requires regular onsite presence and intrastate travel as part of delivery
  • A current, unrestricted Australian driver’s licence is required
