A large organisation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a high-impact infrastructure transformation program. This program involves a large-scale migration of store infrastructure across a distributed national network of over 1,000 sites, delivering a critical shift from legacy platforms to next-generation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end project management of a national infrastructure migration program, covering pilot, rollout, and full implementation phases.
- Manage stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, program sponsors, technical leads, and vendor partners.
- Oversee budgets exceeding $1M, forecasts, vendor contracts, and delivery reporting.
- Ensure project delivery aligns with scope, timeline, and quality objectives, proactively managing risks and issues.
- Drive delivery outcomes using Agile or hybrid methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience delivering large-scale IT infrastructure migration projects across distributed environments (hundreds to thousands of sites/stores nationwide)
- Demonstrated success engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and executive sponsors in complex organisational structures.
- Solid experience managing programs involving migration of core infrastructure platforms (e.g., VMware, OpenShift, or similar).
- Strong governance, risk management, vendor engagement, and budget control skills.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/SAFe highly regarded.
- Retail sector experience or exposure to distributed network rollouts at scale (e.g., across stores, branches, or data centres) is highly advantageous.
