Project Support Officer (ICT Focus)
Location: Brisbane, QLD
Are you passionate about technology and providing exceptional ICT support? We’re seeking a proactive Project Support Officer with strong technical and customer service skills to join a dynamic government team. This role plays a key part in ensuring reliable ICT service delivery, supporting staff across multiple platforms, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
About the Role
In this role, you will provide first-level ICT support services to departmental users, ensuring efficient resolution of incidents and service requests. You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting common ICT issues, maintaining system performance, and escalating complex matters in accordance with departmental procedures and SLAs.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Providing front-line ICT support via phone, email, and ticketing systems.

Troubleshooting and resolving issues across hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and desktop/mobile devices.

Assisting with hardware installations, maintenance, and configuration.

Supporting technologies such as:

Microsoft 365
-
Operating Systems (Windows, iOS, Android)

Conferencing room hardware and software
-
Network fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN)

Endpoint remediation and application whitelisting
-
Administration of print platforms and basic scripting
-

Maintaining accurate records in the service management system and contributing to the internal knowledge base.

Promoting a high standard of customer service and clear communication in all interactions.
About You

Strong technical skills across one or more ICT domains (infrastructure, networking, systems administration, or end-user computing).

Key Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) are highly desirable.

Prior experience supporting complex ICT environments.

Knowledge of enterprise networking, Microsoft 365 administration, and application whitelisting preferred.

Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with work rights in Australia.
