We are looking for a skilled Ruby on Rails software developer to build and enhance web applications and integrated services. You will work with modern frameworks, APIs, and enterprise systems, contributing to the Learning Management System and teaching product integrations, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or .NET
- Design and implement solutions using object-oriented principles, service-oriented architecture, and well-structured API design
- Integrate internal and external systems through RESTful and service-based APIs
- Analyse existing application processes and identify opportunities for improvement, optimisation, and automation
- Design and work with relational data models, writing efficient and maintainable SQL
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective, fit-for-purpose business solutions
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in web development using Ruby on Rails and/or .NET
- Strong background in object-oriented development, SOA, and API-based integration
- Proven experience integrating systems via APIs
- Experience reviewing existing applications and implementing technical and process improvements
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience working effectively within cross-functional delivery teams
