SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant to play a key role in the delivery of ERP finance domain solutions within a major SAP S/4HANA transformation program.

This role involves close collaboration with finance business stakeholders, subject matter experts, the ERP Finance Project Manager, and system integrators to design and deliver SAC planning and reporting solutions. The successful candidate will lead the assessment of reporting and planning requirements, attend design workshops, produce functional specifications, and support both compliance and custom analytical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in Finance Planning, influencing high-quality, sustainable design outcomes

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical SAC designs, including accurate effort estimates

• Design, build, configure, implement and test SAC solutions in line with program standards

• Collaborate effectively with team members, openly sharing knowledge and expertise

• Deliver assigned tasks on time, within budget, and to required quality standards

• Identify, document and resolve risks and issues promptly

• Ensure customer expectations are met and secure formal sign-off for deliverables

Required Experience & Capabilities

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum 3 years SAP SAC domain experience with strong hands-on Planning and Reporting capability

• Ideally 3+ full SAC Planning lifecycle implementations

• Expertise in SAC planning features including:

  • Script logic

  • Data Actions (Advanced Formulas and Allocations)

  • Multi-level planning and approval workflows

• Experience creating SAC models and dimensions in large enterprise environments

• Strong understanding of SAC integration with Datasphere

• Experience with import jobs, delta loads, external data acquisition, modelling and reporting

• Knowledge of SAC architecture and integration with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP SaaS platforms

• Previous BPC Classic experience, including support for ongoing planning cycles

• Strong customer-facing experience in requirements gathering, design and delivery

• Functional knowledge of planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, including within Australian government environments

• Awareness of business content, best practices and market trends in analytics and planning

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders

• Comfortable working in complex organisational structures and virtual teams

• Strong decision-making capability, structured thinking and composure under pressure

• Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments

• A results-driven approach, with the ability to identify blockers and collaborate to resolve them

• Datasphere integration

• Experience with compliance reporting requirements

• Exposure to SAP Fiori analytical apps and KPI tiles

• Experience facilitating design workshops and stakeholder engagement

• Degree in Finance, Information Management, Data Management, or a related field
