Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to lead safety excellence across their operations for an initial 6-months contract.
You'll be the cornerstone of workplace safety, ensuring that every team member returns home safely by implementing robust safety standards and navigating complex legislative requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive workforce participation in safety protocols, ensuring all team members understand their specific roles and responsibilities.
- Develop, recommend, and implement comprehensive Health and Safety Plans tailored to project needs.
- Identify workplace hazards and implement innovative controls to eliminate the risk of accidents.
- Lead safety risk assessments prior to the commencement of new projects or work programs.
- Provide specialist support for incident reporting, utilising internal safety management modules to ensure data integrity and timely event management.
- Build collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, including local government authorities and contractors, to align safety expectations.
What You'll Bring:
- Certificate IV/ Diploma in Work Health and Safety or other relevant qualifications.
- iCAM Lead Investigator accreditation
- HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
