SAP Finance Functional Lead – FICO & S/4HANA

Are you an experienced SAP Finance professional ready to take ownership of a large-scale, business-critical SAP environment?

We are seeking an accomplished SAP Finance Functional Lead with extensive SAP FICO and S/4HANA experience to provide functional leadership across a complex enterprise application landscape within a dynamic retail environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategic solution design, lead functional delivery and drive continuous improvement across a critical SAP Finance platform supporting thousands of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership across SAP Finance, including FICO, AP, AR, AA, PS and IM.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of business processes and the Finance products that support business requirements.
• Lead functional delivery across enhancements and projects, ensuring successful deployment into Production.
• Champion Agile delivery methodologies and ensure adherence to established development practices.
• Participate in estimation activities, T-shirt sizing and defining Minimum Viable Product (MVP) functionality.
• Actively contribute to Solution Design Forums, providing functional expertise and strategic recommendations.
• Engage early in project initiation to assess impacts on the Finance environment and provide functional leadership throughout delivery.
• Work collaboratively with SAP FICO specialists and cross-functional teams to deliver projects into Production.
• Review and approve functional designs, ensuring solutions meet business and customer requirements.
• Lead the definition, creation and testing of WRICEF developments (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms).
• Provide technical leadership and take accountability for functional decisions within the relevant application area.
• Ensure appropriate system integration testing, unit testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) are completed to maintain solution quality.
• Drive continuous improvement, strategic solution alignment and the reduction of technical debt.
• Work effectively with onshore and offshore teams across Applications, Integration, Security and Data Exchange.

About You

You are a highly experienced SAP Finance professional with a strong track record of leading functional teams and delivering complex enterprise solutions in a large-scale retail or similarly complex business environment.

You will bring:

• 10+ years of SAP FICO experience, including mandatory hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Deep functional knowledge across SAP Finance modules, ideally including FICO, AP, AR, AA, PS and IM.
• Strong understanding of IT processes and enterprise applications in a mission-critical environment where availability, stability and performance are essential.
• Experience working as a Functional Lead within a matrix business environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading and collaborating with onshore and offshore delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of strategic solution design, application architecture and technical debt reduction.
• Sound IT Service Management experience across the end-to-end service lifecycle, particularly strategy, design and build.
• Experience in executive stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Strong Agile delivery capabilities and expertise across Agile and DevOps toolchains.
• Experience working across application integration, security and data exchange technologies, including FTP, Web Services and APIs.
