Our Federal Government client is seeking a highly skilled SAP Procure to Pay Functional Specialist to join a dynamic ERP Systems team within a forward-thinking federal government branch. This role is based in Canberra and offers a long-term contract opportunity with potential extensions.
About the Role
As the SAP Procure to Pay (P2P) Functional Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in optimising and supporting the end-to-end procure-to-pay processes across SAP platforms. This includes hands-on configuration and support of SAP SRM, ECC, and OpenText VIM, while ensuring seamless financial/procurement processing and integration.
You’ll contribute to both business-as-usual support and strategic project initiatives, collaborating across teams to ensure SAP systems are delivering maximum value to users.
What You’ll Be Doing

Configure, maintain, and support SAP SRM, MM, FICO and OpenText VIM modules.

Deliver expert-level functional and technical analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.

Develop and enhance custom workflows using ABAP and Webdynpro SRM ABAP.

Integrate SAP workflows with Fiori applications and ERP systems.

Provide strategic advice and configuration support across multiple SAP modules.

Liaise with business stakeholders to gather, model, and interpret requirements.

Identify process improvements and contribute to solution design.

Support integration across modules such as HR, MM, FICO, and BW.

Document knowledge and deliver training/skills transfer to internal staff.

Raise and manage SAP notes and messages when needed.
Who You Are

An experienced SAP professional with deep expertise in Procure to Pay processes and SAP solutions.

Strong hands-on experience in SAP SRM 7.0, ABAP, Webdynpro, and OpenText VIM.

Proven ability to work in complex environments and deliver robust, scalable SAP solutions.

A natural collaborator who can work across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Committed to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Need

High-level experience with SAP SRM, MM, FICO, ECC and OpenText VIM.

Technical skills in configuration, debugging, testing, and implementation.

Ability to obtain or hold a Baseline Security Clearance.
