Senior Biometrics / Identity Systems Analyst

Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Duration: Initial contract to June 2027 + extension options
Security Clearance: Baseline Clearance

We are seeking experienced Senior Systems Analysts to join a high-performing technology delivery team supporting complex identity and enterprise systems initiatives within a secure government environment.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong business and systems analysis capability, experience working in Agile delivery environments, and exposure to identity, biometrics, or large-scale enterprise platforms.

About the Role

As a Senior Biometrics / Identity Systems Analyst, you will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and delivery partners to analyse business requirements, design system solutions, and support the delivery of critical ICT projects.

You will play a key role in translating business needs into technical solutions while contributing to system design, data modelling, reporting, and delivery planning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation and stakeholder engagement activities
• Analyse and document business, functional, and technical requirements
• Develop technical specifications, user stories, functional designs, and reporting artefacts
• Contribute to systems analysis, solution design, and architecture discussions
• Support Agile and DevOps delivery practices across project teams
• Conduct research, impact analysis, and evidence-based recommendations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support delivery outcomes and operational improvements
• Ensure documentation and deliverables are completed to a high standard

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in ICT Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or Solution Design
• Strong experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery environments
• Knowledge of service-oriented architecture principles
• Experience with SQL reporting and data analysis
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within tight deadlines
• Experience working across enterprise ICT environments
• Exposure to identity management or biometric systems highly regarded

Desirable Experience

• Ability to work independently and deliver strategic outcomes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Experience working within secure or highly regulated environments

Working Environment

This role is Canberra-based with hybrid working arrangements available following an initial onboarding period. Candidates must be available to work onsite as required.

Clearance Requirements

Candidates must hold a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
