Senior Business Analyst – ICT
📍 Location: Brisbane, QLD | 💼 Contract role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (ICT) to support the delivery and enhancement of key HR management systems within a large government organisation. This role plays a critical part in improving business processes and implementing system changes for HR applications, including employee complaints and referral management platforms.

About the Role

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will lead end-to-end business analysis across projects and BAU activities. You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders, document requirements, map and optimise processes, and ensure solutions align with legislative, technical, and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather and document business requirements.

• Analyse existing processes and systems, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.

• Develop as-is and to-be business process models (BPMN).

• Define functional and non-functional requirements and manage prioritisation and traceability.

• Support configuration, testing, and implementation of system enhancements.

• Maintain strong stakeholder engagement and facilitate communication between business and technical teams.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst within ICT or HR system environments.

• Strong background in business process mapping (BPMN) and data modelling.

• Experience working with HR or employee complaints management systems (e.g. Resolve, iRefer, or similar).

• Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Understanding of system development methodologies and software implementation lifecycles.

• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.

• Experience within government or large enterprise environments.
