$121.29 per hour + super

We are currently partnering with a large Queensland Government client seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a significant ICT solution initiative within a human services environment.

This role will play a key part in defining business requirements and assessing ICT solution options for an end-to-end Client Relationship Management solution supporting a major Queensland program. You will work across a broad stakeholder group, including internal business teams, government agencies, vendors, and external organisations, to help shape the preferred solution and support delivery outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the capture, analysis, and documentation of business and solution requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria
• Develop and analyse business process maps using BPMN
• Work closely with project teams in an Agile delivery environment to produce clear, testable, and unambiguous requirements
• Provide business analysis support across business process analysis and business impact assessments
• Contribute to key project artefacts including functional requirements, statements of work, test scenarios, and benefits documentation
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement across a broad range of internal and external parties
• Lead workshops, planning sessions, and project meetings to support delivery outcomes
• Conduct fit-gap analysis to assess solution suitability and alignment with business needs
• Support detailed solution and architectural assessments to determine preferred options
• Engage with vendors during procurement processes to assess technical capability and functional fit
• Evaluate business impacts and change requirements, with a focus on risk minimisation, business continuity, and effective service delivery

Key requirements

• Proven experience in business requirements gathering, analysis, process modelling, and requirements testing
• Strong experience in options analysis, estimation, and planning
• Excellent communication, consultation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and present clear, accurate, and timely advice
• Experience working across change initiatives, workshops, and cross-functional project teams
• Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, ideally within Agile environments and sprint-based delivery models

Highly regarded

• Experience in business reform, transformation, or change programs
• Previous experience in Queensland Government or broader public sector environments
• Experience within human services, disability, community services, or related sectors
• Exposure to Azure DevOps or JIRA for requirements and delivery tracking
• Experience using BPMN tools
• Experience working with Dynamics 365, particularly in environments involving complex external integrations
• Experience working with sensitive or secure information in highly regulated settings
