The Opportunity
We are delivering a large-scale enterprise finance transformation, upgrading a core ERP platform from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA.
This role sits at the centre of the program, partnering with Finance leaders, delivery teams and implementation partners to redesign processes, strengthen data integrity and ensure the platform delivers real operational and reporting outcomes.
This is not a documentation-only BA role.
This is a delivery-focused role for a senior Business Analyst who can operate confidently across finance operations, SAP platforms, data migration, testing and stakeholder alignment.
What You Will Be Accountable For
Business Analysis & Process Transformation
- Lead structured engagement with Finance stakeholders to elicit, validate and prioritise business requirements impacted by the ERP upgrade.
- Analyse current-state finance processes and contribute to future-state design within S/4HANA, aligned to enterprise finance standards.
- Support business process re-engineering and fit-for-purpose solution design.
Solution Design & Delivery Support
- Participate in solution workshops and walkthroughs to ensure finance requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented.
- Review functional configuration outcomes to ensure business alignment and control integrity.
- Produce high-quality functional documentation including process models, requirements specifications and user stories.
Data Migration & Integrity
- Support data migration activities including data cleansing, validation and reconciliation in partnership with Finance and ICT teams.
- Ensure financial data integrity and traceability through migration cycles and cutover readiness.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop test plans, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage defects from a finance business perspective.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability from requirements through to testing and go-live assurance.
Change, Adoption & Governance
- Contribute to training materials and business readiness activities across finance teams.
- Maintain auditable documentation aligned to enterprise governance standards.
- Proactively identify risks, issues and delivery dependencies and escalate appropriately.
What We’re Looking For
Core Capability
- Strong understanding of financial operations and controls in a regulated or government environment, including budgeting, financial reporting, asset management, general ledger, chart of accounts, funds management and AP/AR.
- Demonstrated experience working on SAP finance platforms, including ECC6 FI/CO and exposure to S/4HANA capabilities such as Universal Journal and Fiori.
- Proven experience delivering business analysis on large-scale ERP or enterprise transformation programs.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable system requirements.
- High-quality stakeholder engagement skills across operational, technical and executive audiences.
Delivery Tooling & Methods
- Experience producing structured documentation and process models (BPMN preferred).
- Working knowledge of tools such as Visio, Excel, Signavio, JIRA and Confluence.
- Comfort operating in formal governance environments with audit-ready documentation.
Desirable
- Experience working in fit-to-standard SAP S/4HANA programs.
- SAP or Business Analysis certification (CBAP, BABOK, SAP).
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or similar.
