Are you an experienced Cloud Engineer looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our client’s team in Canberra. This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and the chance to work on complex enterprise-scale cloud projects.
In this role, you will:
- Drive end-to-end migration of on-premises systems to Microsoft Azure, from assessment through to optimisation.
- Design and deliver secure, scalable, and resilient Azure-native infrastructure solutions.
- Implement automation through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and modern scripting practices.
- Partner with application, security, and operations teams to enable seamless deployments.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, cloud governance, and best practices.
- Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing within the engineering group.
- Document technical designs, processes, and handover materials.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven expertise across Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Hands-on experience with migration tools (Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Arc).
- Strong background in IaC (ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines & DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of networking, security, and governance in Azure environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Sentinel).
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate are highly regarded.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in Agile or DevOps delivery models.
