Senior Entra ID Engineer
Melbourne location| Hybrid – 80% onsite / 4 days per week in the office
Contract role until July 2027
We are seeking a Senior Entra ID Engineer to join a Software Engineering team supporting a large-scale identity transformation initiative migrating from NetIQ to Microsoft Entra ID within a major retail enterprise. The role focuses on configuring, supporting, and optimising SaaS and identity platforms to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing authentication and access solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement application configurations to enhance identity and access management functionality
Support migration from NetIQ to Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring secure and seamless transition
Configure and manage SaaS/IAM applications using APIs, standard tools, and low-code platforms
Analyse system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure high availability and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate identity solutions and streamline workflows
Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on IAM best practices and standards
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and evaluate emerging IAM technologies
Key Requirements:
Advanced experience with Microsoft Entra Permissions Management
Strong experience in Microsoft Identity and Access Management operations
Experience with Microsoft Entra Verified ID (advantageous)
Proven background in IAM engineering, SaaS application configuration, and identity migration projects
Strong understanding of authentication frameworks, access governance, and security controls
Experience working in Agile or cross-functional engineering teams
Ability to act as a technical SME and support multi-team collaboration and decision-making
