Senior Graphic Designer Strategic Communication (AO5)
A large Queensland Government department is seeking an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to support the delivery of high quality strategic communication and visual design outcomes across whole of government and departmental initiatives.
This role sits within a small, high performing creative team responsible for campaign and event branding, corporate publications and internal communication materials across digital and print channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare and deliver creative communication materials across print, digital, social and marketing channels
- Contribute to the development of strategic visual communication and branding solutions from concept through to final production
- Provide expert advice on graphic design, print production, digital formats and social media technical requirements
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and production partners
- Introduce innovation and industry best practice to enhance creative outputs and client service
- Support team operations including workflows, quality assurance and continuous process improvement
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in graphic design within a complex and fast paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Working knowledge of animation and video tools such as After Effects, Animate or Final Cut Pro
- Photography and videography experience highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Additional Information
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in visual communication design or a related discipline are highly regarded
- Some out of hours work may be required, including during time critical or crisis communications
