Are you a seasoned Incident Management professional with a passion for ensuring seamless IT operations? We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Incident Manager to take charge of managing the lifecycle of ICT incidents within a dynamic government environment. In this pivotal role, you will lead incident response efforts, oversee major incident resolutions, and help establish robust IT Service Management (ITSM) processes to support a major transformation program.   • This is a 12 month contract with another 12 month extension option
  • Open to mutliple states QLD, WA, ACT, VIC, NSW, NT, SA, TAS
  • Must be an Australian Citizen with an active Baseline clearance
  • Paxus pays weekly

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of proven experience in establishing and managing incident management processes within enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and related tools such as ServiceNow or Microsoft Service Manager.
  • Extensive experience managing incidents across multiple enterprise applications, including CRM, Data Analytics Platforms, and Integration Platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams, delegate tasks, and manage workloads efficiently.
  • Skills in conducting root cause analysis, implementing preventative measures, and continuously improving incident protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide transparent status updates and reports to stakeholders and executive management.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances, including Baseline or NV1 clearance.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and certifications.
  • Prior experience working within Federal or State Government agencies.
  • Familiarity with broader ITSM processes such as Change Management, Problem Management, and IT Service Continuity.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in large-scale government ICT projects or enterprise-level IT operations.
